IDM(Internet Download Manager) - This is the best Download Manager Software uses dynamic files segmentation and also safe multipart download technology for file downloading acceleration. If we download large files i.e. movies we need to verify that ongoing download is correct. But IDM have no option for preview while downloading. Here you can handle this problem using simple Trick. Just follow the steps:
NOTE : IDM uses splitting technology for file download, this technology also increases the speed of download, so we are unable to preview files while downloading. So for preview of file you have to disable the files splitting and let IDM download file using single Piece of file.
To Disable file splitting goto IDM by clicking Downloads > Options. On Connection tab. Default Max. Connection number as 1. then select OK. Now download any file. movie, video song etc.
Now comes the real steps to preview file while downloading with IDM.
1. Open IDM in Menu Downloads > Options. On Save to tab.
2. As in figure there is temporary directory where idm stores file. EX -- C:\Users\Rushin\AppData\Roaming\IDM\ at this path there will be DwnlData folder.
3. Locate the path in windows explorer.(open file Path).
4. Now you are done.
5. Now play file using VLC media player from the temporary directory path located in your computer.
As much as the file is downloaded that much file will be available for preview. i.e. if 10% movie download is complete than you can watch 10% of movie using VLC player.....
